US wont make it through the next 100 years unless it becomes a Military Federation.

USA in my opinion will experience the 2nd Civil War against Cali, Mex, and Europe most likely and states surrounding Cali, and possibly Florida.

US Dollar is useless, (just watch) The next superpower or continuing super power will have to master the art of Computer Trading or Future Investing, (likely winners, Germany, France, Japan, China, India, South Africa, Mexico, Brazil, Russia, and to a lesser extent Canada.

But US war on Iraq is the first step in saving the US from such a fate.

I SO agree with this part. Extremeism is like a shark: swim, eat, grow or die. Both Capitalism and Communism require constant growth in land, numbers and influence to combat the tendency of drowning under their own weight. Both are of the Us against Them genre that REQUIRE a Them as both fodder and resource. The US won the cold war, by halting overt Soviet growth through aggression, and eventually the USSR collapsed NOT from a US assult, but it's own weight.

The US will suffer the same fate either through the oppostion of a new superpower (or joint effort of many) OR it's own success and subsequent weight.

The only way the US could survive it's own successful globalization of the planet is through space colonization... a new third world to exploit for resources.

The mythos of Star Trek presents another possiblity... Utopian, Socialist, Militarized, Worship of Science.

When everyone eats, energy is unlimited and replicators provide all.... what's there to fight about?

Bringing us back to the point that can't be denied, when the societal model is con$umerism: EVERYTHING IS ABOUT OIL.

Even if the government could make the perfect heavy element 115 for pennies a pound, why would they? That would change EVERYTHING.

The 12/21/2012 Nexus will be very interesting.

Interesting view on the Star Trek and Space colinization, although I do think that this is rather costly and wont happen for a while unless aggresions stop down here on earth.

By the way RANT, what would be your opinion on the most likely move the US will pull within the next five years.

Hm..colonization of space, if the US is on the brink of losing extreme amounts of power, will probably be its step. Technology will be created in the next 50 - 100 years that will probably allow space to be explored alot more. If the US can't have the world, as many say it is trying to take over, then it will move to space, possibly Mars. . .it isn't as far off as some think.

What we once did covertly, we now do out in the open, by convincing enough people it's for their own good.

I suppose I'd have to take my cues then from the Horse's mouth: Bush. More support for changing the face of the Middle East, including total infiltration of the African continent through 'goodwill' efforts of AIDS/Famine relief...and SOMETHING to do with SEX TOURISM!!! People laugh, but he was going somewhere with that one.

(I think I just answered my own question, he spoke of Sex Tourism being one of the last great evils, then toured the Pacific Rim and Asia did he not? Maybe it's our foothold in 'liberating' our neighbors across the Pacific.)

But in retrospect, I would say that the next move would be to hit South America, Antartica and Africa. In my opinion, Asia is to strong to infultrate. You hit the weakest before you hit the strongest.

You're right, it won't be North Korea or China.

Japan is a colony of sorts already...so following the line of Sex Tourism: Phillipines and Thailand???

South Africa can easily be called black-america, it would be easy to take Africa becuase we already have a strong foothold on the south, its the north that America is weakening everyday.

You understand South African history or have you ever taken a second to enquire about there politics?

Remember this, the Dutch, French, Cubans, British and the Russians tried to control the South of Africa by colonisation, war, propoganda and some would even say by HIV but never and I mean never!! have the Americans had a "strong" foot hold in the South.

Sure there is a lot of American influence here but no foot hold.
