UN adopts Iraq resolution

The Security Council of the United Nations has unanimously voted to endorse a long-awaited US and UK-sponsored resolution designed to force Iraq to give up its weapons of mass destruction.

Ideologically I still can't support one Military regime who produces weapons of mass destruction forceing another military regime to hand over theirs.

seems like we're creating a world wide dictatorship, I mean that is what you've got when one powerfull unelected group dictates the actions of another group who haven't elected them to power.

Still, this may well avert the war, and thats a good thing, and the less weapons in the world the better.

Now we just need to see similar stringent action on our allies and we might be heading towards some sort of global stability (if living under the shadow of the largest nuclear power headed by a fundementalist christian with his finger on the button who knows the world will end in hell fire and brimstone can be called stability)
