it sure sounds good............but
i doubt that 2% of the refunds, on the books, will axtually be paid out.
since there is always a catch
it could very well be that all those years i had a land line phone in our private residence thru one of those phone providers that have since been
merged or acquired...the account that had the taxes credited to your monthly bill is no longer in existence- and will be too costly to track down
when you moved, or switched to a cell phone account the older accounts
you had got swallowed up into the abyss of the corporate accounting beast
,,,,which swallowed up that tax money and was processed into executive Bonuses.
the bottom line is that the new 'incumbants' will get a notch on their political belt as tax cutters/ pork-busters...which may be technically
correct, Yet not completely Truthfull,
as the 'tax rebate' will not materialize for most anyone but the big corporate operations that have maintained a unbroken record of the
communication levee paid, plus have a staff of attorneys & accountants to substantiate their claims & get the refund/rebate
also, your supposed future savings from dropping the special tax will not be realized, as the communication providers already have in place and have
increases ready to implement that will ammount to more than the tax reduction..............? just look at the charge for 9-11 service on top of your
useage already
its all: hype-&-spin, smoke-n-mirrors, and a dog-&-pony show !!!
