Phew pick only one rifle for survivalist role, Only ONE, setting aside anty rambo notions or gung ho crap or daft dreams I would have to say the
9MM Ruger camp carbine

Commonality with my hand gun, decent enough range through a carbine barrel, easy of maintenence, etc
Either that or an MP5 in 9mm
