Well here is the type 98 Chinese tank

"When the Type 98 (aka WZ-123) was first seen, it was initially identified as the Type 90-II/Type 90-IIM. However, there are differences from the Type 90-II, and it is also different from the Type 96, with different style hull skirts, tracks with rubber pads, and a slightly different box-like device behind the gunner on the turret roof. The turret front is slightly sloped and angled, with the turret sides being nearly vertical, and the turret roof has slightly domed appearance, The Type 98 also includes some type of previously unknown active self-defense system. The two components of this active self defense system are mounted on the turret roof. The LWR (Laser Warning Receiver) is mounted behind commander's hatch, and a high-powered laser weapon mounted behind gunner's hatch which is employed against the source of the enemy's laser illumination. The Type 98 reportedly weighs 50 tons and is powered by a new 1200-hp diesel engine. The Type 98's turret is larger than those of previous Chinese tanks, and extends forward, creating a gap between the lower edge of the turret and the hull deck. The Type 90 prototypes do not have this distinctive gap. Only 18 examples participated in the October 1, 1999 parade in Beijing marking the 50th anniversary of the People's Republic of China, and actual production status is unknown."

Have you herd of the T-95? Here is some info on it

T-95 (Objekt 775)
"A new new Main Battle Tank, which was initially planned to enter service in 1994, remains in development due to financial restrictions. It is under development at the Uralvagonzavod Plant in Nizhniy Tagil [Potkin's bureau] which was responsible for all recent Russian tanks apart from the T-80. "URALVAGONZAVOD" (Ural Carriage-Building Plant) in Nizhny Tagil has manufactured a variety of products, ranging from universal type 8-axle rail cars and tanks of the highest quality to the T-34 tanks which had no rivals in World War II.

State acceptance trials of the new tank started at the Kubinka Proving Ground in August or September of 1998. Very little information is publicly available concerning this vehicle, including the official designation, which is apparently still designated under the developmental "ob'ekt" nomenclature. It is suggested that this new tank will weigh about 50 tons, though with a lower silhouette than other recent Russian tanks. The primary armament is reportedly a 152mm smoothbore gun / ATGM launcher with an ammunition load of at least 40 rounds, which may be placed in an unmanned gun pod on top of the hull to lower the silhouette and increase survivability. The new design also places far greater emphasis on crew protection than in previous Russian tank designs through a unitary armored pod inside the hull.

This new tank is apparently in competition with the T-80UM2 "Black Eagle" modification, and may remain unable to secure production funding due to its higherr cost and the potential for upgrading the existing T-80 inventory to the "Black Eagle" standard. "

A high speed amphibious or submersible Tankita could be used to direct naval gunfire and air ... Modern HEAT rounds for the 106mm can defeat a MBT at 1800m

A low profile and amphibious mobility make a deffinate advantage. Swimming these of course as well as other amphibious armor needs improvement.

Sorry. Had to do this.

It's the coolest design of a tank I've seen. I know it's not real, but hey, I like it.
