If you think it's not being ridiculed, I suggest you google the name. It's being ridiculed everywhere by people who wish to drag him down, just as it's being ridiculed by people here on ATS who wish to do the same.

Here... let me help.

Again, I could go on, but I'm bored with this ignorance...

My friend...My,my,my..

Please take off your FOX news goggles and pull the Rush and Hannity hearing aid from your ears. There is no left wing news bias. There is how ever a thing that we in the Independant veiw scope call real world view. And to say the media is left wing is the same jibber jabber Rush pulls. The drive by media is the very institute that keeps the morons that are in Washington from pulling a over-nite police state? I guess thinking the way you have drawn your statement out that the news doesn't report Obama's middle name is cause they are hidding or shielding him? So I say to you is it that it? Or, are you upset that he is of Middle eastern heritage or African American heritage? Are you NOT ready to accept a African American president? or a woman president for that matter or any other heritage that doesn't have a (R) besides their name? Did you ever think the reason you don't hear much good news about conservatives or Republicans in the media is that the media is on to their shannagans and understand that the conseravtive and republican view is one of point a finger at the molesters of the world but hide the ones amongst the collective?
There is no left wing media bias to Obama's middle name. It's the fact that he sells media right now not his middle name the only bias is Rush and the "Baby" jesus Hannity who on a regular basis remind you that his name is of that used by a terrorist that was funded by the American government at one point might I remind you. Oh' and his family has had direct ties with the Bush family? Whats the point to a middle name?

If you think the media doesn't have a bias towards the left, you must be blind, deaf, and retarded all at once. Very few media outlets are balanced. The only way to even get the whole story is to watch both CNN and FOX. CNN is communist, while FOX is fascist. Watch both, the negatives cancel the positives, and in the end you get something in the middle.

However, most of the media leans to the left. Even in the South, a stronghold for Conservatives, the media is still leftist. That's just how it is.

That's exactly right, but you need to let the meaning of it sink in. Contrary to popular belief, the people in the media are not entirely stupid. They just think that we might be stupid, and they're trying to communicate on our level. If ratings are any indicator, they are right about enough of us to make it worthwhile.

Now, why is the media catch-phrasing all over the people who are disliked but not the people who liked?

Because the catch phrases and soundbytes are not harmful in and of themselves. In fact that very concept appears in Obama's The Audacity of Hope, when he says that he is not bothered by potshots from people like Anne Coulter, but it really stings when he takes barbs from well-spoken sources about something that actually pertains to him. For instance, he doesn't care about being called "Osama Obama", but when a conservative columnist zeroed in on how "by law, any mention of Barrack Obama must be preceded by the term 'rising star'," and how that seems to be a PR distinction rather than a measure of raw legislative success, that really stung.

He says that on 9/12/01 he was having lunch with an advisor who pointed to a news headline and told him that he was as good as dead politically, he didn't really think so, and he was right. Because a name in and of itself is hollow.

Why would the middle name Hussein be catch-phrased against Bush but not against Obama? Because it would be effective against Bush but not Obama. Why is that? Because Bush started a war with Iraq and Obama didn't! Because Bush has clung to office by threatening us with middle-eastern boogiemen and Obama hasn't!

Soundbytes are supposed to be touchstones. If there's nothing deeper for them to touch on, they don't exist. That's why Dick Bin Bush is funny and Congoleeza Lice sounds like some kind of 3rd grader's racial slur.

I mentioned his middle name in another thread..
I got the information from "The Media".

There won't be much mention of it, there never is, of middle names.
As Dr. Love pointed out, it's reserved for serial killers, LOL.

BUT... once he runs for POTUS, it will be mentioned much more often.

DGTempe..
My wife said something similar.."something about that guy, I can't quite place it"
Any idea what you are feeling?

Space, i dont know yet- All i know that my gut feelings are right on most of the time. I'm going to have to pay more attention to him to see if i continue getting negativity from him. Or, it could be i dont really know him, but once i feel this negativity, i find it hard to change my mind.

He makes me nervous and i feel trouble when i look at him. :shk:

Right now Obama is in a honeymoon period. He's the darling of the show. He hasn't officially announced anything .. yet.

When he does anounce then all heck will break loose. He has to be vetted. His entire life has to be looked over and every word he has said and every decision he has made has to be seriously considered.

At that point you will see people with level heads asking themselves if they really want a former crack-head with only 2 years of senate experience to be POTUS.

When the negative things about him come out you will see a lot of WHINING that it is racist. The fact is that everyone goes through the vetting process and that isn't racist, but I betchya' dollars to donuts that many will scream 'racism' when the negative facts about him come out.

And Hillary will make sure the negative facts are known. You won't see her finger prints on the 'leaks' .. but it will be her.

Oh .. and he isn't 'black'. He is of mixed race. His father, who abandoned the family, was black. His white mother and white grandmother raised him.

He isn't qualified to be POTUS. It's just that simple. Hillary is. I don't like her, but she is qualified. Biden could do the job but not as well as Hillary.

Mine is just "gut" and i had the same feeling when the current potus took office. I cant put my finger on it, i will tell you this, HE is cocky. Maybe thats part of it, if it is, its a small part.

FF, A former crack-head? Oh no, not another one!!!

Barack Hussein Obama says in his own book - the Audacity of Hope -
"I have struggled with crack coc aine in the past ... " His own words.

He used the words 'struggled with'. That's addicted.
He also says that he smoked dope and drank a lot.

www.discoverthenetwork.org...

Oh .. and he went to a muslim school for two years. He also went to a Catholic school for a couple of years as well. But for those wondering - his grandfather was muslim that's why Obama went to Muslim school. The grandfather later became an athiest.

Two years in the senate does not make someone qualified - IMHO. Give him another 6 years or so and he might be. But not now.

www.clickafrique.com...

On a personal note - the more I read about him, the more I feel like slime has been poured over my aura. Seriously ... it gives me the creeps. I'm not being partisan. I can read about Hillary (whom I dislike) but not get that feeling. (She scares me but she's qualified for the White House). He just leaves a disgusting feeling behind.

We agree, FF, and its "creeps"....See as humans, we already know who he is and what he's capable of doing and our inner feelings dont lie.

Its not his name. Its not his color. Its him. I dont care if his name has Hussein or Mohammid or Alla...that's not it- i swear. Its something else.

The only good thing is he's not a Bush.

OK, I just didn't know that. It doesn't make him unqualified for POTUS. Check out the current one.

He used the words 'struggled with'. That's addicted.

Not necessarily. And even if he was, it shows strength of character that he overcame it. I was addicted to cigarettes for 30 years and let me tell you, it takes a strong person to overcome an addiction.

Oh .. and he went to a muslim school for two years.

And what bearing does that have on anything?

Oh, I thought you meant he really wasn't qualified. I didn't realize it was your opinion. Because he does meet the qualifications as outlined by the Constitution.

Obama's an impressive guy, no doubt. Articulate, well-spoken, commanding presence. But don't kid yourselves, there's no way he leads the Democratic ticket in '08. Could be, maybe, possibly number 2, but I seriously doubt it.

The fact is, he doesn't have the resume (although Bush 1 had the best resume of any President ever and look what that got us), and he doesn't have the backing. Ok, the Dems aren't about to publicly state they don't support him, but when it's crunch time, the Power Brokers will jump ship, because they believe (read: know) he's unelectable. Until then, the Hollywood types will fawn over him and he'll make a lot of speeches and inspire the grass roots. But if he's THE candidate in '08, I'll eat the rope soled sandals of a Cypriot goat herder.

Historically, prospective candidates always look better and poll better until they announce. Then their numbers drop big-time. Every time. Both parties. Always.

Gore's polling better than anyone at this point. And if any northern Democrat has even a faint prayer of winning in '08, it's Hillary. I don't count her Arkansas years as making her a bona fide southerner. And I'm not sure she's electable either. But she'll have a much better shot at getting the nomination, and potentially winning, than Obama would.

So do just about everyone over the age of 34. It still doesnt' mean that they are capable. People use the term qualified and capable interchangably. I'm sure everyone reading this knew exactly what I meant.

It makes me uncomfortable knowing that two years of his life were spent in what was most likely an anti-west, anti-christian, anti-jewish religious indoctrination center. Especially if someone wants to be POTUS.

But thankfully he isn't going to be the front runner for the dems. Hillary is the most qualified. She's 'IT' and I highly doubt she'll put him as #2 on her ticket. She doesn't need to gain the black vote or Illinois, they are already in the dems pocket. She'll give the #2 slot to someone from a high-risk big number state - like PA or Ohio or Florida ...

Exactly. Some folks are all 'wooooooopie' over him, but when you look at his alleged qualifications, they just aren't there. He isn't POTUS capable.

Yes it is. He was addicted to crack coc aine. Addicts often use the term 'struggled with' because they can't admit the addiction.

He was a crack-head.
