Ahhhhh, there you all are.

You know, for a terrible moment there I thought The Overlord had thrown a moody and pulled the plug because some people were being so horrible to him about his new look & feel thingy.

p.s. - good to have you back.

Now, About Those Colors...

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Here's hoping whatever the problem was is now destined for the ash heap of history.

Performance seems a bit "off".

I'm afraid to touch anything on the off chance I'll break the server. I already made a post that appeared to disappear into the nothing.

Edit: Also, (watch me be a pain in the @$$) when I check the registered members online at the bottom of the page, only 3 names are there, and mine isn't one of them.

Hope we don't have to endure much longer.

But even more so, I hope everything works out okay.

Couldn't resist making that pic, while I was sitting here praying that ATS would be up soon.

Go, ATS dark matter!

Ah it apears that all is good with the ATS world again. Have to give these guys a little slack. Bound to be a few bugs when your revamping something this big. I thought someone posted something HUGE and the gov shut the place down.

Like saying EH no off to the island with you.

Hey Skeptic,

Firstly want to say I know how much hard work you must have put into the new site design, and implementing it all I'm sure must be difficult to manage.

So respect to you for that

Though I have a question.

Doesn't ATS have a fail over safe??

Surely a decent Raid array would have been sufficient to overcome a database server crash??

I have some experience in ensuring data resilience using various cross over techniques, so if you want any suggestions please feel free to let me know.

All the best,

NeoN HaZe.

S.O. didn't mention if this is a temporary fix, or whether the server issues had been resolved.

SkepticOverlord, good luck.

Everything seems back to how it was load-wise on my end. However I noticed some of the small changes that have been done over the past few days have disappeared. Is that due to having to revert to a previous version of the site? For instance the path of the current thread at the top of each posts page and the links in the posts for u2us and what not are different. This is just on ATS, btw.

Looks like ATS is back online!
No problems with threads not opening and slow lagtimes for me yet.

With this server crash, there is one good side effect. (For me, at least)

It seems the pages are loading faster than they were before.

But I'm not sure yet, if it is because there are not so many members here or not.

Time will tell.

One other thing. 9bad side effect) The "Who's on ATS..." member list, is not updating.

- There are a total of 3 registered members and 33 visitors on domains right now.
generaldisarray, Rogue Shadows, shadowblade,
In the previous 6 hours there have been 372 members on

has been that way ever since I was able to log back in.

No rush. Just saying.

edit = scratch that last one. As of 2:00 CST, it appears working.
