A poem I wrote about me metaphorically trading my soul to the devil in return for the truth. It's kind of about how once you learn the truth certain things cease to exist at all, but to be honest with you I'm not sure what the exact meaning behind this poem is. I kind of just jotted it down and thought it was interesting enough to post, so here it is:

i made a pact with the devil.
i made a pact with the man.
i told him he could have my soul,
if he let me understand.
"i want to know the truth," i said
"i want some answers now."
he obliged me with an evil grin,
then he opened up his mouth.
the words he said were truthful,
as he spoke without regret.
he told me secrets never told,
his side of the bargain kept.
he told me what i wanted,
then he tried to take my soul,
but the truths that he had given me
would free me from his hold.
the things i learned destroyed him;
the truth had set me free.
he selfishly spilt his secrets,
and now they belong to me.

we see your wager was mind, or insain
your efforts are link in a heavenly chain
that aided in the bonding of hell's bane
your soul is yours, and so we also gain
an ally who's journey was not in vain
