That view is smashing! The black board don't strain my eyes and i can stay on line much longer. At the beginning i have a problem to get used to. Also, color black excales ambiguity, secrecy, and symbolizes the unknown. What would be best for ATS if not dark.

Many congratulations to Three Amigos of ATS and their best frames. Now we can consider our forum chic.

Is there any way we can have an option for a light colour scheme, black and dark grey is so bad on the eyes that it hurts to read.

Im pretty sure there would be a fair drop in page views if we dont have the option to switch colours.

Don't you like that as American patriot? After all, many American nationalists are proud at their famous industry.

I'm a huge fan of it. The buttons do it for me, absolutely amazing.

The previos interface was more practical, this one may look a bit better because of the new graphical design but it's hard to get aroud with, in the threads the text width limit is too small, makes the writing look funny and hard to focus on the subject.
Also the feature on the main page that updated on 5 mins is gone, where are the new threads or the subjects that are curently being discused.

Question....

I've been curious about the Member Center button and it displaying new u2u's. I have noticed that it currently does not display when we have a new u2u. Is this an adjustment we have to make or is it being worked on?

SO - I normally love your work - and this does have a good graphic ambience

BUT

IT IS NOT READABLE.

IMO - Experiencing ATS depends on reading -or at least scanning- huge amounts of written information.

...And only black on white, preferably with serifs, is easy to read.

Also IMO - going this way will completely alter the kind of members attracted, the quality of members' involvement - and will suppress cerebral participation.

I have to leave now. My eyes hurt and I have a headache.

I am in total agreement with you Sofi, and I think Management should really consider what she has said here. Change for the better is good, like when you switched to the last color scheme from the one before that. That optimized the site to near perfection, imo. Everything was easy to read, and the contrasting colors were very well done. The background colors under the different forums made it easy for the eye to focus on particular posts, depending on what forum you were looking for, and yet the text across those colors always worked well, and was very visable. I am curious why you guys felt the need to change the color scheme?

Maybe this is still a work in progress, but the colored text against black background doesn't stand out anywhere near as well, and is difficult to read. Consider what Sofi has said: With the tremendous amount of reading that one can do here, the objective should always be to make that reading the easiest as possible. And black text always trumps just about anything. The eye is trained to read black text since we were all in first grade, and it is very difficult to change that life long habit. In fact, I believe that was proven in surveys long ago, and it used to be discussed in professional sales management classes I have taken in relation to advertising. I just don't understand- you had it soooo right. If it ain't broke...Why fix it?
