I herd that the F/A-22 can go at least mach 2.5 from Popular Science article. That talked to a test operator and he said that the F/A-22 can "Walk away from F-15s and F-16s during flight". I have been hearing reports of mach 1.8 for the F-22 but now we know for sure. The F/A-22 is hell of fast. Pretty cool ehh?

It can reach 2.5 mach quicker than previous jets.Sustaining it for a period of time is another story.

It also has no need for afterburners. I think I also read some wear that it has the most powerful engines of any fighter aircraft (not including bombers).

well it can cruise at mach 1.5 or so for a sustained period of time as i recall.

and also i seriously doubt that the engines in F-22 are most powerful mounted on fighter jet..



As MiG-25 can go MACH 3,2+, level flight..



P.S. i do realize that F-22s engines are claimed to be in 150kn class and MiG-25s only 109kn each..

But i really dont belive that this is so as MiG-25 is much large and heavier aircraft and can go MACH 3,2+



And surely F-22 can supercruise, so can FAF F-18 C/D Hornets..

(But MACH 1,5? ..Hmm..)

And Lada is not that bad.. it starts even in -30.
Take some american plastic car and it refuses to start in -5.

Yes the Mig 25 can go mach 3.2. The problem is that it can only do that for a minute or so. After that the engines would be trashed.

Man you should check out the cars and trucks that are coming out in the next few years. They are good. I like the new Chevy small truck with I-4 and I-5 power. Also Dodge is coming out with a hemi powered wagon.
