And Today We Celebrate...

...the 'begining' of the rape, murder and institustionalized slaughter of an entire peoples.

It has been hundreds of years and still people like to think that the American Indians wanted nothing more than to loose their identity, homes and have their customs outlawed.

May we celebrate Wounded Knee. May we celebrate the sending of small pox in the form of blankets. May we celebrate the practice of translating word for word the trade agreements with the American Indian tribes incorrectly. May we celebrate the goverment sanctioned theft of land. May we celebrate exploiting a lack of comprehension in regards to ownership. May we celebrate not paying what we promise to pay. And may we celebrate countless number of slaughters and exterminations...documented or not.

Oh, happy thanksgiving day.

I think my family and I will celebrate dome other things we're thankful for if it's alright with you.

FYI, blankets infected with smallpox were distributed in 1763 at the sige of Fort Pitt. The British general in charge was Jeffrey Amherst. Blame the British for that one.

No water from outside needed, our brain can create the necessary hormones/peptides etc... to be nourished.. THRU CHRIST (the acceptance and understanding of all things/ LOVE) ..

I am not saying you can not use this holiday as a time to be thankful for the things in your life...I am simply saying that some attention should be brought to the way our country was founded.

The extermination of millions of people because it was 'dvinly sanctioned' is a disgrace. But neglecting of the fact is doubly so.
