Well i guess he would know.
He is afterall Mr.Vietnam.ANd wasnt he recently "advising" Bush & Co?

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- A U.S. victory in Iraq is no longer possible under the conditions the Bush administration hopes to achieve, but a quick withdrawal of American troops would have "disastrous consequences," former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger said Sunday.

Kissinger served as national security adviser and secretary of state in the Nixon and Ford administrations and has advised the Bush administration on Iraq. In August 2005, he wrote in The Washington Post that "victory over the insurgency is the only meaningful exit strategy."

But in a BBC interview Sunday morning, Kissinger said the U.S. course needs to be redefined -- and the breakup of Iraq could be the eventual outcome.

Here is one observation to this: You rely way tooooo much on the Communist News Network, aka: CNN.

Here is the second observation: You asserted that Kissinger was "Mr. Vietnam."
1) That is woefully inaccurate. Try Robert McNamara, k?
2) Giving you the benefit of the doubt that Kissinger = "Mr. Vietnam," why would anyone listen to anything he remotely has to say? Seems to me, his "losing" one war would simply and utterly disqualify him for life from being heard on any war matters and utterances thereafter? You know, its a track record thing...
3) Your linked article says alot more than your were willing to post up concerning the other matters and utterances that Kissinger said, eh?

Just some matters and utterances of note that were ignored:

Kissinger is against a rapid withdrawal of Iraq.
Kissinger says that Iran despises weakness.
Kissingers says that Iraq is not ripe for democracy.
Etc.
