What do you guys do to clean the gas tube on your AK? I assume putting a little oil in it and some on the piston is good for the rifle, right?

And how about cleaning an AR? I can't figure how to take it apart completely.

From what I have read, you probably don't want to clean the gas tube unless you know what you are doing.

Take it to a gunsmith.

In the manual for my mini 14 it recommends that you only have a trained gunsmith clean the gas tube.

If you are dead set on doing it yourself it might help to download and read the manual.
