What should deeply concern all in our country who believe in Free Speech, and in particular, that the exposure of the ill-advised, and even reckless, actions of our government, is the best, most necessary, and sometimes only way to keep our Democracy healthy and to maintain our position as the world's protector of Human Rights, both here and abroad, is how easily those rights can be subverted by those who disagree.

Is it not always the truth which pierces most deeply into the hearts of those who cannot or will not face it? And is it not always the ferocity of their response which exposes the depths of their wounds?

If we have become a nation which can no longer tolerate voices of dissent, especially when those voices raise the most serious questions our Democracy can face -- those of our actions in wartime -- if we cannot face the truth of who are, and where we are going as a society, if that truth must be whispered in the darkness, and never dared spoken out loud, then we must all share in the same grave danger: that we are not free, even in what we think is the safety of our own homes.

Yes this just shows the horror that most people turn a blind eye.
But they pay for it through their taxes.
This is your result people
Tomorrow it might be you or your family

It is just realy sad to see so many people trying to justify this insanity.

If they would show this every day on TV the wars might be over a bit sooner.

I think the solder who set up this original server with this photos was later found to be trading them for Porn - but I am about 80% sure that this was the case.

Comments?

Souljah, I just lost my appetite. Maybe forever.

No story about a battle, no matter how eloquent, possesses the raw power of a photograph. And when it comes to war's ultimate consequences -- death and suffering -- there is simply no comparison: a photo of a dead man or woman has the capacity to unsettle those who see it, sometimes forever.

der spiegel

I'd like to see the start/stop dates on his porn collection. Was this a favorite hobby of his before or after he went to war.

What kind of psychopath is this guy? Hardly charming.

well want can i say,

This is the reallity of war, but with some of the comments along side the photos it would seem some u.s soldiers find it funny, enjoyable even.
I feel sorry for the soldiers personaly they are becoming warped because of this blood for oil war. and the civilians, well would we know if they were "terrorist" or innocent bystanders.
And the pic with the naked iraqi woman with THAT! comment just makes me think how many iraqi women are being raped and killed by our allied soldiers who could post such things in such bad taste.

Abso sickining

I shed a tear for each an every one of those brothers, be it american/iraq, were all GOD's children, but don't think that one of these deaths will be forgot in the end, they all will be held accountable by those that saw there demise, and not nessesaraly those who pulled the trigger.

Forgive them father for they know not what they do.

U.S. troops traded Iraq photos for porn access

The U.S. Army is investigating reports that troops took photographs of dead Iraqis and traded them to a pornographic Web site in return for access to that site, Army sources said Wednesday.

Chris Wilson, owner of the site, told CNN that he had given members of the military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan access to the site for free -- if they provided him with a photograph proving they were serving there.

Yep - the names MATCH;

Chris Wilson, the owner of the Porn site did give USArmy members free access for providing him with this kind of photos you see there.

Now I guess that BOTH sides are kind of Sick if you ask me.

^^ Totally agree....it does seem that people think that this will be over, when we leave.

Nothing could be further from the truth. the Coalition better hope like hell that the Iraqis can forgive.

I strongly doubt that i would EVER forgive an invader, if this happened to my family. in my country.

Just how ape-sh8t did the US get over 3,000 dead? When will *they forget.

Never - expect the same in return.

Nothng like a generational enemy.

Well done guys.

Unseen War

THESE PHOTOS ARE NOT SUITABLE TO BE VIEWED BY MINORS!

2005 Nobel Prize Winner Harold Pinter wrote a poem about Bush's illegal war in Iraq. The images from that website brought his poem to mind.

God Bless America

Here they go again,
The Yanks in their armoured parade
Chanting their ballads of joy
As they gallop across the big world
Praising America's God.

The gutters are clogged with the dead
The ones who couldn't join in
The others refusing to sing
The ones who are losing their voice
The ones who've forgotten the tune.

The riders have whips which cut.
Your head rolls onto the sand
Your head is a pool in the dirt
Your head is a stain in the dust
Your eyes have gone out and your nose
Sniffs only the pong of the dead
And all the dead air is alive
With the smell of America's God.

Harold Pinter has quite an interesting website. From the political side he made a good speech in the house of commons against Blairs support of Bush. He has some other good poems there too, worth checking out. I like his poem called Democracy

"There's no escape.
The big pricks are out.
They'll # everything in sight.
Watch your back"!!!

Actually I think I think it was a pretty good site. It shocks people out of their little sterile world and gives them a view of what war truly is about. Put yourself in that situation being shot at and watching your bro's get blown to bits by some 7th century "freedom fighter" and see how cynical and thick skinned you become about death. Unless you have been their don't judge the psyche of someone who is fighting (right or wrong ) for their country.

This should also so be a wake up call for all the armchair militia guys out there who want to take on the NWO. I support them, but most have no clue what war is.

And by the way, what was the last war the US fought that was against an honerable foe?

what do you mean "an honourable foe"? I don't understand what you mean by this. There is nothing honourable in the actions of this war. Most of the civilians killed in Iraq were innocent, so we have no idea how honourable or dishonourable they are and it is certainly not our place to judge them, so what exactly do you mean by that. They certainly didn't deserve to die, especially from an invading army from the other side of the world.
