Does anyone know why the elite have chosen this bird as their symbol? You can find it in the one dollar bill as I'm sure many of you already know. But why the owl?

Is it because they are a predatory bird, silent in flight who works at all hours of the night and can see its pray in darkness as well as in light?

but some researchers connect it to the owl of athena i think, if i remember correctly owl represents athena
