"Beirut Moon" by STIFF LITTLE FINGERS
What more needs to be said about Beirut? It is a land that has seen many troubles over the years and they still continue today.
Beirut is the largest and the Capitol city of Lebanon.
This song was written is protest at the hostage taking of John McCarthy.
Lyrics:
"We'd like to help you." the consul said
"But there's nothing we can do
Well, you knew the risks when you took the job
After all you're not a fool
So, don't call me, don't call me
I just can't bend the rules
Keep your chin up, I know it's tough
Somehow you'll get through."
It seems the Americans bargain and rescue
But if you get caught you're left to rot
Under a Beirut, under a Beirut Moon

(Chorus

Under a Beirut Moon
Sorry son, there's nothing we can do
Under a Beirut Moon
Different rules, we haven't got a clue""

"Back in the U.S.S.R." by the Beatles

Been away so long I hardly knew the place
Gee it's good to be back home
Leave it till tomorrow to unpack my case
Honey disconnect the phone
I'm back in the U.S.S.R.
You don't know how lucky you are boy
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.
Back in the U.S.S.R.

Well the Ukraine girls really knock me out
They leave the West behind
And Moscow girls make me sing and shout
That Georgia's always on my mind

"Walk Like An Egyptian" The Bangles

All the old paintings on the tombs
They do the sand dance don't you know
If they move too quick (oh whey oh)
They're falling down like a domino

All the bazaar men by the Nile
They got the money on a bet
Gold crocodiles (oh whey oh)
They snap their teeth on your cigarette

Foreign types with the hookah pipes say
Ay oh whey oh, ay oh whey oh
Walk like an Egyptian

"Hong Kong Garden " by Souxsie and the Banshees
lyrics:

""Harmful elements in the air
symbols clashing everywhere
Reaps the fields of rice and reeds
while the population feeds
Junk floats on polluted water
an old custom to sell your daughter
Would you like number 23?
Leave your yens on the counter please
Hong Kong Garden

Tourists swarm to see your face
Confuscius has a puzzling grace
Disorientated you enter in
unleashing scent of wild jasmine

Slanted eyes meet a new sunrise
a race of bodies small in size
Chicken Chow Mein and Chop Suey
Hong Kong Garden takeaway
Hong Kong Garden ""

Hong Kong..was a British colony from 1842 until 1997 , when it was handed back to Peoples Republic of China.

DDE - E6

DDE: E6

Kanskje ligg det no’n i arman hennes no
E6, han må itj bli for sein
Kanskje kjenne no’n varmen hennes no

Det e kuling over Saltfjellet,
men den legg sæ for ei stund

"Whiskey in the Jar" recorded by Thin Lizzy and also Metallica

As i was going over the cork and kerry mountains
I saw captain farrell and his money he was counting
I first produced my pistol and then produced my rapier
I said "stand and deliver or the devil he may take you"

Yeah

I took all of his money and it was a pretty penny
I took all of his money, yeah, and i brought it home to molly
She swore that she loved me, no, never would she leave me
But the devil take that woman, yeah, for you know she tricked me easy

Musha rain dum-a-do-dum-a-da
Whack for my daddy-o
There's whiskey in the jar-o

"Africa" by Toto

I hear the drums echoeing tonight
but she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation
She's comeing in twelve-thirty flight
Her moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards
salvation

I stopped an old man along the way
Hopeing to find some old forgotten words or ancient melodies
He turned to me as if to say "Hurry boy it's waiting there for
you

(chorus)
It's gonna take alot to drag me away from you
There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had.
