Check this out guys. The eye of the storm looks like a real eye! Kind of creepy if you asked me. Really cool nonetheless though.

I read the article, but I am confused. Is the storm continuous, and we just now noticed, or did it form recently? Cool picture by the way.

*twilight zone music*

They are watching you...

Sorry, I couldn't resist!

Do we suppose that this could be related to the Sun's recent pole-flippage? ...maybe Saturn is about to flip?

On a sidenote: It always tickles me when shapes are mimicked.. in this case, they liken the storm's eye to a whale's eye, and in the article about the sun flipping poles it shows the heliosphereic sheet looking like a seashell (near the bottom of the article).

It's just too neat!

This is pretty cool. I wonder if it will stay around for a while like the red spot on Jupiter.

It would be great to send a probe into the eye and snap a few pics.

"This gives us the deepest view yet into Saturn over a wide range of wavelengths, and reveals a mysterious set of dark clouds at the bottom of the eye."

Thanks for posting.
