These werent taken by me, but i thought id share them with everyone on here since they are pretty good pics. Not long ago my friend went on a ghost hunt with his infra-red (heat detection) camera and got these orbs in next to a gravestone. Have a look. I have to stress that there was no moon, flashlights/torch, cigaretts or anything that could have emmited circular heat like that.

Date and time at the bottom of image.

COLLECTIVE, it looks like cigarette smoke!

Just kidding this time, can we get some background on the cemetery? Good pic's, did he take any standard flash photography.

I don't know anything about IR photography so can not really comment. Anyone else with more expertise have an opinion?

Collective

I have an interest in this subject and have half seriously looking into buy a handy cam that supports this kind of thing. The problem with Infra Red as I see it is that anything remotely hotter/colder that the background shows up in great intensity. For instance that glowing orb like thing could simply be an insect or a pocket of gas released from the ground.

I was going to ask in this forum before about what camera to get to capture IR or UV ( near and far ) footage so I can view this kind of phenomenom myself. I was thinking of getting a Sony HDRSR1 HD camera but cant find any decent specs on the capture range.

Taking it at face value, what's the name of the cemetery? We can do a bit of research on it, and maybe can shed some light.

Its the same cematary that i did the ghost hunt on a week or so ago, Allora Cemetary. i seriously doubt we can find any information about it online.

For me, I think that the cold reading on the end of the cross is equally impressive.

I personally dont understand why people look for ghosts in a graveyard. Of all places to be after you die, why the heck would you be there? Why not haunt your old house or something? But then again, I have never seen the since in graveyards.

I think that might be a part of the surise/sunset process, one side is cool from no sunlight and the other is still warm from the sunset.

First things first, what do the colours mean?

Is the red the hotter and the blue the cooler?

In that case, the "orb" is hotter on the outside and cooler on the centre?

As the camera only gets the information from the surfaces, that would mean that what we are seeing is something circular that has a hotter rim and a cool nucleus.

It would be nice to see some other photos taken with that camera, the "orb" looks like a fault on the system because it goes from the maximum on the outside to the minimum on the centre.

No, because if that was the case, the underside of that arm of the cross would be blue as well.

Edit: ug darn thing wouldnt turn out.

Dont forget that the cross might ahve been on top of a concrete tomb, if that were the case than there would be enough heat reflection for the underside.

Ah didnt think of that one, I just figured it was in the ground. I wish there was a normal pic to compare it to. One that would have shown an orb then proven what it was with this one.

You know, I never knew what to believe about orbs. I have seen enough to know that just about anything is possable. But, orbs.....well, I just didnt know what to think. Until the other night when I woke up to one flying around in my room.
And I thought I was open minded before
