When I'm eating in family restaurants and there are kids in the booth/table in front of me they are invariably hanging over the edge facing my
direction and their parents are ignoring them. I make funny faces, stick out my tongue, open my mouth which is full of partially chewed food and, in
general, get the kids laughing hysterically or riled up in some way. When the parents eventually get around to seeing what their children are so
excited about and they look in my direction, I can be found quietly, unobstrusively eating my meal oblivious to their concern. As soon as the parents
go back to their conversation/eating, I start up with the kids again. The kids think it's riotously funny and the parents are not quite sure if I'm
doing something to warrant their attention or if they should apologize for their children "disturbing" my meal.
