It'd be great to have a list of all the people in the world who have succesfully or unsuccesfully carried out peaceful protests. I've been searching for one to no avail.

The people I've got so far are:

Ghandi
Martin Luther King

I was going to include the suffragettes, the women campaigning for the vote in the early 20th century in England but didn't they resort to violence to enventually gain their demands.

Peaceful protesting seems a waste of time then!
