Is it just me, or is our country 'stuck in the mud'?

I know this is a pretty far out there post, but when I saw this today I just had to laugh and think about our country.

You may not know about it, but today they were going to move the USS Intrepid so that it could be overhauled and made more open for the public.

Sen. Hillary Clinton had this to say:

The Intrepid stands for everything we believe in ... our freedom and our values,

Shortly after they started moving the Intrepid, its propellers got stuck in the mud and they gave up for the day since the tide was going out. Here's the link to the CNN Story Here's the link to the Story on CNN

Is it just me, or is that about the most ironic thing that could have happened the day before the midterm elections?

Also, does anyone else think that, like the Intrepid, we are stuck in the mud?
