I know a mason

It has its good points and its great, socially. Though, after having to sit through seemingly endless ceremonies at the Masonic temple, the stench of age seeping up my nostrils, I am 100% cured of it.

they do a lot of charity work

but they have a lot of freinds in a lot of high places

See, that's the thing. The friends in high places aspect. Mr. Mason goes out and gets into some trouble.. and brother Masons in high places work to get Mr. Mason out of trouble. It's a shadow network. It's parallel justice. Is this right or is this wrong? Although it has served my family well, as an independent soul, I'd have to say, in the words of the great Garth Brooks,
I GOT FRIENDS IN LOW PLACES and that's all the friends I need.
