I had to amend this thread for not mentioning another of my favourites:

Vera Cruz

Joe Erin: Ben Trane. I don't trust him. He likes people, and you can never count on a man like that.

Gotta love St. Burt...

In no particular order:

Unforgiven
The 'Man with no name' trilogy
High Noon
Tombstone
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Wild Bunch

Little Bill Daggett: You just shot an unarmed man.
Bill Munny: He should have armed himself if he's gonna decorate his saloon with my friend.

I pretty much like them all. Since nobody mentioned it, I still get a good feeling watching True Grit.

My favourite is Once upon a time in the west

In my opinion, by far the best western ever made ...

Truly a cinematic work of art by Sergio Leone and haunting music by Ennio Morricone.

Incidentally, New Order's Elegia has a similar melody:

Legendary opening scene.

If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it.

Hahaha, I almost posted:

stayed in one once, I think it was ok.

For me it is The Good and the Bad and the Ugly. Theme music alone is worth it.

I'm partial to Lonesome Dove myself.

Into the West was also a good miniseries.
