Heck! Though located in one of the world's biggest IT hubs, I'm clueless about how to convert a bmp image to gif. You see, I'm a non-techie!!

OK, without further ado, here's the problem.

Suppose I copy and paste a gif image on Powrepoint from the Internet. Now I believe this automatically converts it into a bmp file. I do the necessary annotations here and want to now post it on ATS, NOT as an 'external image' but on the post itself.
I believe that only gif images can be posted and not bmp.

So how does one get about doing this? How does one convert it back to a gif file to post on ATS?

Yours clueless,
Mike

With Paint (comes with Windows XP) you can just open up a bitmap and click "save as..." and in the "type" field just select GIF. That would be the easiest way. Not sure if the Paintbrush program that came with previous Windows versions can do it.
