I'm not a big fan of Bill. He seems to often go around the logical points of the discussion and ask things that are out of context of the discussion like, "Well do you support the troops." He tries to turn the tides of conversation to his favor by creating a guilt trip for the other person or by calling their 'patriotism' into question.

O'Reilly: "Do you want the US to win in Iraq?

Letterman: < silence>

When pressed, Letterman said his hesitation was due to the fact that he is a "thoughtful person".

What's to think about?

Well, it's simple. The ultra right wing goons are always trying to pigeonhole people. It's the typical "you're either for us or against us", juvenile mentality. Letterman obviously doesn't want to be pigeonholed.

I hope O'Reilly keeps yapping, he'll get a serious verbal smackdown.

Peace

...maybe he's thinking about what it would take to win in Iraq -- more civilian and miltary deaths. Who knows -- just a thought!

There's a lot to think about becky, mainly, do we want to win at any cost. Which was Lettermans ultimate response. Unfortunately too many people don'y bother to think about the consequences of their, or their governments actions.

It is actually funny to see. O'Reilly is the typical right-wing bully. They will try to push around anyone that they can, but when they start to get slapped back they fall back on "Actually we're great friends, we're just playing around".. LMAO!!

Like the playing around when Stewart made him into a little whipping boy. Then David does the same.
