Samuel Jackson.... I suppose one could put him as a lead too, but his best work (IMHO) is when he's part of a team or supporting.

He plays the range.
For the longest time, I referred to him as "you know, that guy that played the drunk in "Delores Claiborne" opposite Kathy Bates.

But I've seen him play Strong characters, studious types, backwards pathetic characters..
