Media Player help please!

I use windows media player version 11 for playing my music on my PC , I have just booted up my computer and found that it has set itself back to its default colour , and that the library option has gone ! where has my music gone , please help anyone I had?have? (please god) got thousands of songs in there where are they ?

first things first, where did you put your "music" folder that holds all your music,
music/mymusic/custom...

Look in that folder and see if it is still there.

If you don't remember, do you know what format your music is in-mp3/wav/mwp/avi...

If they are all the same, for example mp3, then use the operating system search funtion to look for them.
(Start-search-for files/folders, left click the third green arrow down-all files and foldes.

in the search area put "*.mp3

This will look for any and all mp3's on your harddrive(s).

This works for all major formatsreplace ,p3 with wav oravi or....

I hope this helps you find your music.

That said, "back up your music on another harddrive or onto dvd's-really!!
