other member status

Ok I know about banned members and such, but why when I look through the member lists are there other statuses?

I mean the "Denied" and "the4" types. Does anyone know what they mean?

afew years back, we had a board game that lead to the creation of ignorancedenied.com and the winners were made admins (i think)

"Denied" and "the4" were part of the clues

Interesting, but why are they still listed like that then? When I click on the names nothing comes up.

they were member accounts that were created as apart of the game.

admin haven't deleted them.

I wasn't sure about the4 status, but the denied left me under the impression members were rejected at the registration phase.

ATS...for awhile, had prospective members fill out a simple application for membership here. Those that didn't complete the form were denied membership and the name they attempted to register was marked as "Denied".

Yeah, I'm curious about that to, I think it was/is a good idea,
and should definately be brought back if it has been stopped.

Nah, I hate that form.

My screen name is watch_the_rocks because the first time I tried to enter it I forgot the bit where you have to say how you will contribute to ATS, and thus 'watchtherocks' was lost to cyberspace.:shk:
