Sorry if this is on the wrong board. Could someone of an English expertese please tell me which of these forms is correct. [gf and I got in a debate] or if perhaps they both are correct. Thanks


In my previous year of high school I took honors English, World History and
Spanish III.

is it "i took" or "i have taken" or both?

The second one is correct, however I did notice two other mistakes. In the english language, a name of a educational course is never spelled with a capital letter, unless it has a number after it stating a particular course.
