The aircraft at the crash sites on 911 pose thier own threats to heath.

www.tpub.com...

Inhalation of composite fibers resulting from aircraft fires and/or aircraft material damage may be harmful to personnel. Respiratory protection must be worn when personnel are exposed to these potential hazards.

Don't forget that the 757's also had depleted uranium in the wing spars and tail stabilizers at about 1700 pounds. The radiation that effects our troops in Iraq has to have the same ability in New York City. I have to admit that there is so much that could harm humans with modern materials that its a endless list.
40,000 People are suffering lung diseases and or death in NY from the 911 attack, the people in charge could have waited a little longer to shift the dust, but heroic efforts overruled that and we have the diseases and deaths because of that, yes you plane fibers really do cause health problems but it could not have been the main problem affecting NY'ers.

I think you might what to check you facts. The 757 and 767 do not carry depleted uranium for counterweights, they use Tungsten.

They stopped using uranium with the later 747s.

Besides, the main problem with DU isn't radiation but toxicity, as is with a scale of other heavy metals. That's why it was, for example, in Gulf and Kosovo forbidden to "have a close look" at vehicle wrecks regardless what caused their destruction. If nothing else, every vehicle has a load of lead in its batteries. Even a PC contains enough "tasty" stuff that can endanger you if it is say subject to a fire, though in relatively low doses.

Here is a report that blames depleted uranium for radiationat the WTC sites. problem is the 757 and 7667 do not use depleted uranium.
