If there was a magnetic pole on the center of the ecliptic, then the Earth's magnetic pole of the oposite type would be pointing to the center of the
ecliptic, in the same way a compass' north pole points to the Earth's magnetic south pole.
That would make the Earth orbit the ecliptic with one of its poles pointing to the center of the ecliptic.
