In nature you CAN fall into a sort of deep sleep that will allow you to suck a few extra hours of life out in a situation where you should die after
minutes (for instance in Sweden a skiier fell under the ice and was trapped in the freezing water for about an hour before they freed her and when the
took her to the hospital she was brain dead, but they managed to revive her.)
However uh those stories seem a bit fanciful. You can SAY that cryo-freezing could work but until you test it you have not idea, and the soviets have
tested it.
Many a time to be in fact and dismissed it as impossible...they could freeze you successfully but they couldn't revive you, there was too much tissue
damage, and no process of thawing worked. Every time they tried it resulted in another test subject, and the US came to the same conclusion working
with hamsters.
Thankfully too...last thing we need is people going to "sleep" for 100 years.
