Sounds more and more like business as usual in So.Calif high schools. My son's high school had two bomb scares in Sept. A benign "bomb looking" device was left in the school cafeteria and a tape recorder with a note attached "this is a bomb, don't touch" was left on one of the school buses. Here's the latest about Corona High's bomb threat...

Bomb scare at Corona High School
A bomb threat Friday morning prompted school officials to call for a lockdown and evacuation at Corona High School.

After evacuating the students to a campus athletic field and allowing parents to pick up their kids, the school received the all clear sign from Corona police and will resume afternoon classes.

At 9:50 a.m. the Corona Police Department received an anonymous 911 call from a male caller saying there were three bombs set to go off sometime after noon at the West Tenth Street campus, said Corona PD investigator John Samano.

Within minutes, there was another call to the school relaying the same message.

The Corona Police Department brought in six school resource officers from other schools to aid with the lockdown, first keeping students in their classrooms and then evacuating them to the athletic fields in back of campus, Samano said.

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department's bomb squad also was called, he said.

By 12:20 p.m., the school was allowing parents to pick up students. Parents are being asked to go to the corner of Blue Crest Street and Lincoln Avenue near the football stadium to pick up students.
