All the major religions, as well as non-abrahamic, have a shared view on homosexuality. Even Buddhism does not really have a support view on it.

But i think you are forgetting (or ignoring that) that nearly all Christian denominations do allow homosexual members, that include Catholics, so i don't see a "hate crime" being commited.

Ok, I suppose maybe I was a bit extreme, but when I say spewing
hate, it's not just about homosexuality, anything he said that said
one group was wrong or immoral, regardless of who they were, is
hateful to me.
Even if I myself disagree or dislike them.

And I did'nt say it was a hate crime, as I really hate that term.
(Pun intended.)

the pope is getting in over his head lately, he might want to take some caution as to who he offends next. It was pretty foolish of him to try and impose his views on the very left government of italy. His oppresive right wing storm troopers are no longer in power and italy and his word no longer carries weight.

I particularly like the part where he says "the Church was not acting politically and merely wanted to help shape social policy in Italy." someone needs to inform the pope on the definition of "acting politically"

Wow your comments sound a bit like a threat to me? You know socialists that want to do him in or something? Obviously you have a dislike of anything from the right even though socialists have run Italy for decades since WWII. I dont know what you are so afraid of like you are being personally attacked or something?

Thruthfully I dont give a damn what the Man says. Im Gay. I dont agree with him, and I don't think I should obey him. Nobody said I had too. I do respect him, because he is the head of the Catholic Church.

The Pope doth protest to much.
You know what is said about the people yelling the loudest about anything.....that they are guilty of whatever it is they are protesting.

The sitting Pope used to be IN CHARGE of the group of men within the church that were to 'look into' cases of Preists and chrchman who had been accused of molesting young boys.
He is a VERY POOR job of taking care of this molestation problem within the church........They just moved the guilty parties into a new place without taking power away from them, thus putting a whole new group of families at risk of pedophilia..........
.......so now I think he is protesting 'gays' to make up for his past inability/neglegence to actually DO SOMETHING when he was supposed to. He allowed so many to get away with so much.............

His currant protests speak VOLUMES IMO

My comment was not a threat, nor do I know any socialists that want to "do him in". I was mearly posting something that the pope said that I happen to disagree with. While he is certainly within his rights to say what he said, I disagree with it, which is within my own rights as well.

everyone has taken what I said out of context, I don't feel like I am being personally attacked and perhaps "storm troopers" was a little harsh but I don't want to kill the pope or take away his right to say what he likes, I mearly disagree.

He's just saying this because he's slowing coming out of the closet with his 24 year old gay lover.
