Oh, I bet it would be so good, to curl up with him, and watch a scary movie. I love puppies. BTW there is no such thing as too many puppy pics.

I have to agree, you can never have too many pictures, and it is a beautiful looking dog i mean puppy. Makes me remember my dog (well sort of my dog, mainly my parents, back at my home as I've gone to university) as a puppy. We took a nice picture of him with newspaper in his mouth.

Great pictures!

PS how good is your camera? they are good photos too.

Thanks! The camera is ok. It's an Olympus C-740. There are some things I hate about it. I loved our Fuji Finepix, but the switch kept breaking.

I usually take about 50 pictures, then download them and choose 4-5 of the best and crop and resize them for posting.

I took one this morning of him having a pootie... Should I post it?

If you really want to, go ahead. i don't think there would be anything wrong with that, i think the restrictions are only on violent pictures etc. arent they?

You take pictures so people can see them so why not?

I don't know about other peoples opinions though.

Jaia (RaJaia vom TeMar) is a German Shepherd. He has a long coat. His parents (both short or "stock" coats) are very highly titled show dogs from the West German line. The long coat is not accepted by the US standard, so cannot be shown, but it is shown in other countries. Since I'm not showing him, it's moot. I had my choice between long or short coats. I chose the long hair because I like the way they look.

He will look like the darker of these two dogs as an adult (Black and Red):
Long Haired GSDs

Jaia's parents can be seen here:

Dam - Leisa vom Messina
Sire - Wotan vom TeMar

I won't be posting the pootie pic.

thought you probably wouldn't really.

I wasn't sure what breed your dog is either.

I've seen plenty of german shepards, but not any puppies.
My grandad had a GS named Deek, he was a cool dog, even in his old age.
I would like one myself and seeing those pictures I want one when he is a puppy, they look cool...

I got an interactive toy for Jaia. He's SO smart, I really have to work to keep him from getting bored. He LOVES this ball game. He has to get the squeaky balls out of the box. Some pics from this morning...

He also loves to chew grass...

His ears look like horns! And rightly so!

Thanks, apex.

Here are a few funny ones of his nap yesterday.

The Pendulous Lip...

Wakey, wakey...

Yes, we have chain link fences in our living room serving as his crate. He grew out of his crate after the first 2 weeks! He's going to be huge!

About how big is he now, BH?

And, what are the estimates of rhis final weight?

Such a cutie.

Give him a kiss for me

He probably weighs about 26 lbs and is probably about 14-15 inches at the shoulder. That will increase to 26" and he'll weigh 85 lbs. Those are just rough estimates. My breeder's dogs tend to be a little large.

Here's our first "stack" attempt.

Just out of interest, where did you get the name "Jaia" from? Never heard it before this.

I really made it up. I love the name Maia but that's a girl's name. So I just started trying similar sounding names and Jaia sounded manly enough!
He was from the "R" litter of my breeder, so all their registered names had to begin with R, so I just added Ra to the front so his registered name is RaJaia v TeMar.

I since found out that Jaia is also the name of a French music company or something.
