Ya'll arent the only ones.
It was definitely down for more than an hour here.
I asked a couple friends, they live in orlando, and they could access the site, but down here in Ft. Laud I couldn't.

The continuity of activity in new posts indicates no downtime.

That's interesting....I've been suspecting that this has been happening. At times when I can't access the site for awhile I finally come back and the threads that I was involved with already had several more posts like some people were never kicked from the site. Kinda like the rolling blackouts in California.

Please please please please please...

When you experience outages that no one else is getting, run traceroutes to:
www.abovetopsecret.com
www.belowtopsecret.com
podcast.abovetopsecret.com

And save them for when you can connect, and get them to me via the complaint or contact form. Without any data, there's nothing we can do to troubleshoot potential problems.

I haven't had problems, but I mostly have just been reading not posting.

Maybe there's a problem with your ISP or some major Internet backbone router or something...

Actually I am at work and it was down for me as well. But my email and other systems here went funky on and off for about 3 hrs or so.
My co-worker that sits next to me sent me an email at 9:16am and I didn't get it until 11:20am so also having email probs. Could be unrelated probably is.

It was down for about an hour and a half for me. Next time I run into this, will definately run a trace route and pass it on via the 'complaint' form...

Philadelphia area here. Yep, I was unable to access ATS from about12:30pm EST to approx. 2:30pm EST. The error message I was receiving said "Unable to access server." I'm back up and running now though.
Just my 2 cents.

Open a DOS wondow and type:
tracert abovetopsecret.com

Then copy the results and send them in a complaint form.

I wish I had done that. I was down for 2+ hours, too.

Next time.

Hit Start, Run, type in cmd and hit enter

You will now see a command prompt aka old school DOS looking screen.

Type in tracert abovetopsecret.com

Copy and paste the results

If you're running Linux or MacOS X open a terminal window and type

$ traceroute www.abovetopsecret.com

I've had a few times where the board was slow to load, but nothing continious. Next time it appears to hang up on me though, I'll certainly run the trace route.

Thanks for the heads up.
