Is it that we're afraid they'll use their nuclear muscle to invade a country??

Perhaps, but I think the real fear is that a cash (and everything else) starved NK will export the weapons to someone else who might be not afraid to use them to attack the West and achieve martyrdom at the same time.

Why not just sit down at the table with them and talk about it all, anybody ever think that Bush's sanctions just pushed NK to have to make this next step to save face and show they are strong after all? It's a tit-for-tat...and we all suffer because of it.

Because negotiation has never worked with NK. The last time it was tried NK 'bargained' in bad faith - accepting aid for stopping work on nuclear weapons while continuing to develop them. Negotiating with NK is simply appeasing and enabling them.

But isn't it 'appeasement' that's actually what's happening now? Look how cosy Pakistan have been made since they joined the Nuke club. Heck AQ and Taliban are using Pakistan to hide in and forces cannot go in and flush them out because Pakistan say so. It's a military dictatorship, formed from a coup but we do good business with it. What happened to 'going after terrorists and any country that harbors them better look out too' ... 'except in the case of Pakistan a nuclear power run by a unelected dictator'. It's all doube standards it seems.

I'm certain Korea have seen how Pakistan play their game and have learned a great deal from it.

If you guys are so blood thirsty about going after North Korea, by all means forget about bombs and sign up for the military grab yourself a gun and go do it yourselves. Or perhaps you're just the type who talk about kicking everyone's ass but want somebody else to fight your battles for you. Don't forget to put a yellow ribbon on your SUV's.

This ATS is a joke and a place of a bunch of neo-cons who are just wanting to go after anyone who's not like them.

Let's see. A series of tests, timed for maximum effect makes sense... in a psycho-kinda-way. Hmmm, isn't Condie in Seoul tomorrow? Hmmm. Mr. Il' seems determined... maybe tomorrow nite after the close of the news cycle before Condie leaves the groung from S. Korea might have the kind of attention-getting effect this DPRK-nutbar-Il might like.

That sound you hear is people who know what ATS actually is laughing at you.

I think you might want to Deny Ignorance and take a better look around before condemning the community in such a sweeping and uninformed fashion.

Then you can laugh along with us.

P.S. Be sure to check out PTS, too. We have both liberals and neocons there.

So when someone decides to bomb the hell out of the USA in order to get Bush to realize he's not God...that'll be okay then right?
