Nanodam, could a dam that uses nanotechnology make more power than the hoover dam?

I've been thinking to myself the last few days of this idea and it seems practical to me, here it goes.

This would be a dam constructed of a very strong nanomaterial within which are billions of tiny generators which would replace technology such as this currently used today in the Hoover Dam.

Would it be more efficient to use billions of tiny generators instead of a dozen or two huge ones, from my point of view if we spin molecule by molecule instead of by ton wouldn't there be some efficiency improvement? If there is an improvement would it be a drastic one, any feedback would be appreciated!

Actually, turbines get more efficient the larger they become.

What I'm not sure of is whether the total surface area output would exceed that which a few huge turbines can output.

I'm thinking not likely due to Classical Mechanics, but taking Nanomechanics into consideration, I can say with absolute uncertainty, that it's a possibility.

Nanopiezo technology is one area where smaller is better.

This, I'm unsure of.
