I didn't see a thread already about questions regarding ATS podcasts. I know I have several questions, and I imagine others do as well. Any answers are greatly appreciated.

  • What formats (besides MP3) will ATS accept as an upload?
I actually intend on making video podcasts as opposed to MP3. Does ATS accept MPEG? MOV, etc?

  • What format would I need for a video iPod to be able to play it?
Is there a specific format or program or something I need in order to do that?

  • what is the maximum filesize it can be, to be uploaded on ATS?

  • How do we link to it, once it's uploaded?

  • Did somebody say...monkey?

  • What sort of guidelines apply to the subject matter?

Anyone else that wants to, feel free to use this thread to ask your podcast questions. I'm rather excited about my newfound ability to toast some video.

    I've got one.

What happens to a members podcasts if they subsequently get banned?

    Ok, fast and loose here....

At this point, I think mp3 is it until the Admin allow another file type.

Yes, there are specific programs that encode video in mp4 format (at least I think that is the video iPod format).

Max file size is now 24 mb. The video would have to be quite short I think.

Once uploaded, a podcast creates a thread and has it's own unique link.

    I never said monkey.

All normal ATS guidlines from the Terms & Conditions apply.

Podcasts remain I believe, just like posts...unless the contect of the podcast was what caused a problem.
