I recall something along he lines of "sanctions mean war" from Lil Kim.
Now the sanctions have been passed,i guess everyone waits and sees.

United Nations(CNN)-The U.N. Security Council on Saturday voted unanimously to impose sanctions against North Korea in response to the country's claimed nuclear test.

The 15-0 vote for Resolution 1718 sent a "clear and strong message" to North Korea, said U.S. ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton.

Invited to join the council with his South Korean counterpart, North Korea's ambassador to the U.N. said his country "totally rejects the unjustifiableresolution."

(BBC)-Resolution 1718 imposes weapons and financial sanctions but is not backed by the threat of military force.

North Korea's UN envoy, Pak Gil Yon, left the UN chamber after rejecting the "unjustifiable" resolution and accusing the Security Council of neglecting US pressure on North Korea.

He warned that any increase in US pressure would be considered as a "declaration of war".
