Lindh should've been executed for treason too, but at least in his case he had gone to afghanistan before 911 and was working with the taliban. THis guy is working directly with al-qaida, there's really no wiggle room here like there was with lindh, who was still arrested and sent to prison.

In anycase, John Walker will be remember forever till the day he dies as an American Taliban.

Of course, and he'll be able to make bank on it too. When he's out of jail, he'll probably by hired by a university, and make a number of book deals. He's going to be a lightning rod of a political figure too.
