Someones messing with our food??

Socialist, you say that there is no "conspiracy" and then follow up by saying that it is "just cutting corners to increase profit." What would you call it?

I suppose youre right in a sense - I meant that no-one was actually tampering with the food ie Mexicans.

Well here we go again. So close to all the others. I've never ever in my whole life have heard of so much contamination in our foods. The killer kind as well. I believe something is definetely is going on.

Company recalls egg salad in 17 states

WAYNE, West Virginia (AP) -- A food company says it is recalling its egg salad in 17 states because of possible contamination. Ballard's Farm Sausage says tests showed mixed results for a bacterium that can cause serious or fatal infections in young children or elderly people.

It also can cause miscarriages and stillbirths in pregnant women.

Ballard's president says the company has temporarily suspended producing egg salad while it investigates the contamination.

The company did not say where the containers were sold, but the states involved in the recall are Alabama, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, New York, New Jersey, North and South Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.

Folks here we go again. I'm telling you something is truely wrong here. Have you ever known so much food contamation in our life like whats happening now. Look at all the post I've wrote here about the food contamations and the dates. Pretty close together and always alot of states. This is not normal.

CDC probing salmonella outbreak in 18 states

ATLANTA, Georgia (AP) -- A salmonella outbreak potentially linked to produce has sickened at least 172 people in 18 states, health officials said Monday. Health officials think the bacteria may have spread through some form of produce; the list of suspects includes lettuce and tomatoes. But the illnesses have not been tied to any specific product, chain, restaurants or supermarkets. No one has died in the outbreak, which stems from a common form of salmonella bacteria. What's amazing to me is how oblivious alot of people are to this stuff. Even though the government is even admitting that "Yeah, we're poisoning you," most act as if nothing at all is going on!!

Evil Politicians and Food

So.... it is apparent that not only industries are involved in this, but our "beloved" elected officials are as well. By the way, this is not something exclusive to the United States; it's rampant in India and many South American nations. Our governments are not our friends, folks.

yes, it is strange and I read somewhere recently and it may have even been on one of these threads that terrorists were aiming to attack our food supply. Which isn't really surprising to me at the ease of which this can be accomplished.

Most of our food if not all goes through production. Who do we hire for these factories? How easy would it be to contaminate the food supply and it be farmed out to many different states. That is what's startlingly to me and suspicious.

DDay, what is funny about them saying that the "terrorists" could attack our food supply is that it's being attacked everyday by our so-called "protectors"!!! "Oh yeah, the terrorists did it!!" Ha!! Okay, may be true...However, how are they going to say that beyond any shadow of a doubt when they are feeding us genetically modified, cancer causing, crap?

OH yes, I have been having a big suspicion on why so many food sources would be tainted on such a big scale and so frequently now, then before in an age where we had much less technology to root it out before it got to the consumers.

Amen to that speakeroftruth. The FTA, food and terrorist association, (humor) has allready been hard at work letting junk in our food.

I think it's mostly the theory already listed of more product out, cut corners, crack the whip more at the workers, more profit. I think if the "terrorist" wanted to poison us, they would definitley use the water system. I don't think the terrorists would bother with foods in this setting anyway.

It's amazing that more of us don't get sick each year.

True,the FDA really began playing with people's health when they began removing herbs off of the market. You used to be able to go into grocery stores and but herbs,not anymore. Now you either have to go to health food stores or specially order it.

Bottom line: If you have to eat out, look for independently owned natural food stores which include their own restaurants. Learn to cook at least a few meals a week from scratch. Some people have formed local cooking cooperatives where different people in the group host dinners for the group once or twice a month. Be creative about developing solutions for your own safe food supply. And keep asking questions at ATS and BTS if anything stumps you.
