Is there anyone here from jolly old England know anyone with the surname STORY. I have been able to go as far back to 1650 here in the US. but all i can be sure of is dear old great great great great great great grandad came from England. but if you have an old English surname please post it grandaddy might have been lien:w: and drinking.

The Spelling of the name could have been STOREY perhaps? I have known this spelling of the name (a 1960's footballer for instance).

If you are going back that far the spelling could be almost anything in fact, double r, ending in ie instead of y for instance? In fact my team had a player called Jim Storrie many years ago so you can see how the spelling can vary. Best of luck with your search.

Thanks i spell my name storey but during my search i found the E had been added a couple of generations back.
