I am sorry but I can not provide a better picture, because my digital camera is basically crap. But there is this hovering object in the sky just above Shanghai. No sound, it´s not an airplane or a chopper. Its movements are extremely bizarre, like dancing in the wind.

Lots of lights though and just now it changed its position. Moved hundreds of meters in a second or so.

I´ll try to take more pictures, my camera is HP photosmart r707. *sigh*

If anyone is in Shanghai, please look up into the sky immediately. You cant miss this thing. It is quite big, bigger than your average plane. Shaped like a triangle altough I am not certain. It is rather dark. I can only see the lights clearly.

Try to get as many pictures as you can.

Find a neighbor/s and see if they have another camera or cam, also get more people for verification.

Ive seen all kinds of aircrafts in my life but none of them moved like this thing. It´s as if there is no resistance from the air.

Im just going to keep on looking, because takings pics is useless (took five and they all look the same).

It looks like a dragon style kite or balloon to me.

Are there any festivals in the area at the moment?

I just moved into the city so I dont know anything about the holidays. But it might be something like that, usually led lights are not so visible.

Ive never seen a Dragon kite in my life so who knows.

Very well.

It looks bloody cool though, I´d like to have one of those. The only one I see in the Shanghai skyline at the moment as well.

Just a question, there is also just one lone red dot over to the right.

I can see where the one looks like a kite or balloon but you said which one moved fast. Was it the big figure or the little dot. I don't know of any kites or balloons that move very fast.

Just curious

Why is it that after something is identified there is always people who won't give up? It makes you a perfect target for a confidence game and an avid reader of the "Weekly World News". I don't mean this in a bad way. It just concerns me that I see it so much. Logical thinking is critical to success and survival.

I watch people at the park with kites here in the summer. They get out of control sometimes and dart all over the place.
