probably not hoaxes per say; I know a guy that takes hundreds of these pics. He thinks they are spirits. They could well be. Could also be smoke, mist, static on film, etc.

some might just be smudges on the camera, smoke or just fingers-in-the-way. That happens 2 me and it looks quite wierd.
