Jezebel,
I agree with you on several points here. I have a question:
What do you see the course of action will be that the American people take back the powers and rights that have been absconded from them?
Neither party is going to give them back, so how will this be fixed?
I've been trying to think of how we might resolve this peacefully, without starting a civil war. The only hope for this, that I can see, is the
slim to none chance that a large majority of the American public will realize what's happening BEFORE the next "terrorist" attack. If enough
people were to band together and present a united front against the criminals which have stolen the country, they would have to surrender OUR
government. The only other option they would have is to reveal their true colors and attempt to strong arm their opposition with the military. I can
only hope that, were that to occur, the rest of the US citizens would wake up and join the fight. If the rich have no one to control, then they have
no control.
Unfortunately, if nothing is done before those in power declare Marshall Law, the ONLY alternative left will lead to a Civil War. If that happens,
there is going to be a lot a pain, loss, and death. More and more, it seems like this is going to be what happens. Very few care enough to risk
their middle class comforts and customs to fight for them. Napoleon Bonaparte said, "A man will fight harder for his interests than for his rights"
and we seem to be proving him right.
It doesn't work to just vote, as we have seen. It's too easy to control and steal the election. Especially now that they are switching to the
computerized voting machines. Everyone just has to forget their political affiliations, stand up, and say "ENOUGH! We want our government back!"
What a lot of people don't realize is that EVERYTHING would have to be reworked. Our monetary system would have to be removed from the hands of the
bankers and started fresh, under the control of the United States, again. It would result in another depression (the 1st one was when the Federal
Reserve actually took control of the majority of the US to begin with) and most people would lose almost everything.
We would have to rely on the aid of our fellow countrymen again, and they would rely on us. The entire way we live would change. Food would be
scarce because the wealthy manufacturing companies would be bankrupt. The crash of the stock market would stop pharmaceutical production as well. We
would have to learn to survive without Prozac and Ritalin.

We would also have to learn to treat illnesses through more readily available means.
The government is training, now, to seize control of food, water, and utilities, in the event of a "civil disturbance". War is hell, and it would
be worse than hell for those who weren't the least bit prepared. Those who couldn't hack it, would saddle up next to whomever they thought would be
victorious, in hopes of regaining some of form of their previous lifestyle.
Friends and family would die, be lost and be gained. All of this would be happening before & during the battle between the "Patriots" and the
fascist government.
If the citizens of America were the victors then people would have to start living all over. We would need to return to the original Constitution and
decide what needed to be changed, added and REMOVED in order to make it applicable to our present time. The suppressed amendment, which prevented
lawyers from holding office, should DEFINITELY be replaced.

And all other issues should be worked out in much the same way as they were the first
time.
Everyone would be forced to take responsibility for the choices they make. They would have to relearn the benefits of kindness and empathy. They
would understand what it is like to be the farm worker in the fields. They would learn, hopefully, to value life as the privilege it is and stop
taking it for granted.
If one thing is learned from the whole mess, though, I hope it will be that
NO ONE of any race, religion, sexuality or social status is
superior to any other. The illusion of superiority is what has gotten us into this mess to begin with. One race thinking it's better than another.
One religion thinking it is better than another. The rich thinking they can own and control those not as fortunate. And none of these fools, have
ever even noticed that the whole reason people are different is so that we can all learn different things from each other.
Sorry for the essay, this is just a subject I think about a lot.
