In the article they state that they are assuming it is contagious. Sounds serious to me.

The cases (according to the article) are only found within one hospital.

So it's something at that location and may or may not be higly contageous.

It's concentrated to the hospital. Sounds like a super resistant bug gone wild.
I think as these bacteria or infections grow and become more and more resistant to antibiotics it will eventually become a mutant form of disease..

I ask a Dr today here in the UK about identifieing diseases that have mutated.

It all boils down to this - if its recognised by any of the experts in the area it could be a local mega mutation ie a vancomycin resistant staph A infection ect. The fact that the CDC has had to be called in from the USA seems to point to some thing unknown, and also some thing that may be highly contagious / virulent.

What ever it is, now the CDC has turned up, expect this to go very quiet!
