Hey man, honestly, IMO....yeah the iraqi people may be plain clothes w/ out of date weapons and no training and no body armor and all that....but what
would you be saying if that was your son in the war, or your loved one, or whoever, that got shot by one of those "commoners"? Would you feel hate
for the Iraqi people??? Yeah we may be the aggressors in this war, but you have to think that OUR OWN SOLDIERS, CITIZENS, PEOPLE that are like you and
me, are over there, living, breathing, fighting, dying for all of us. You cant hate the soldiers for following orders, they chose to do that. Nobody
forced them into it. Yes, some people enlist for the wrong reasons, or b/c they were brainwashed by a recruiter, but not all of the soldiers feel that
it is a job. How else could they explain it to somebody that hasnt experienced it first hand? They can never fully describe what its like. They could
never convey the horrors and cruelty of war.
War changes people, desensitizes people. Hardens them, and kills them inside. Support our soldiers that are fighting overseas far from home, even if
you dont agree with the reason why they are there. They are loved ones, your neighbors and family. Never forget them
Its easy to not care about a name, or an unfamiliar face....thats what saddens me about the people of this country.
If you want to pity the Iraqi people, then pity the people in Sudan and other parts of africa that constantly live in fear of GENOCIDE. Where is your
voice for them? Oh wait, we're not killing them, so why should we care about them?
Leave that to the chinese i suppose
