Let's say the Democrats retake control of Congress in November. What exactly will that mean for the war in Iraq? I'm asking this question because, although many Democratic candidates seem to be running on anti-war platforms, the only real thing they could do to stop it would be to deny funding for the operations, and first they'd have to explain this to the American people. This could be a lot more difficult that they realize, because the commitments we've made to the Iraqi government run deep and can't be undone overnight.

What do you think would happen?

What are the six points of the Democratic Party's 6-Point Plan for 2006?

Maybe the Democrats will let the Military people make the decisions about the Iraq war rather than the chicken hawks like Rove, Rumsfeld and Cheney that have orchestrated this debacle.

If the Bush Cabal had of listened to the likes of Colin Powell and McCain; maybe we wouldnt be involved in a civil war with no end in sight. The Administration was warned by the military people and other experts on the mid east that their approach was doomed to fail but they had an agenda that was based more on ideology than facts.

The sad part is that our bravest and finest young people are the ones caught in the middle and are doing the fighting and dieing. For What?

It looks like Nam more everyday! And that was basiclly a democrats war.
Maybe the democrats learned their lesson that you don't get embroiled in a conflict without and exit stratagy. I doubt it though.
