I just resently watched the news; Russian officers released after their arrest by the Georgian authorities on accusations of espionage. Russia pulled
out all its personel except the military base and the peace keeping force there. Putin proceeded to say that if Georgia thinks they are under the
protecting roof of other countries (US and EU would be probably what he means here since georgia is always trying to hid behind them, and also Ukraine
who is close allies with georgia) they are wrong. Putin called this course of action from the Georgian president and act of terrorism (according to
russian law this allows military interventon), and all mail and travel from Russia to Georgia was stopped. The situation changed almost instantly and
the prisoners were released.
I'm just looking for comments, oppinions, and any further information anyone might know on the subject.
